Edie and Don Knickerbocker began building pools almost 30 years ago. The two started off small, buying a kit to build their own vinyl-liner pool in
1972. After that, the couple decided to build one for a friend, "just for the heck of it."Eventually, the couple faced the choice between government job relocation or finding an alternate career here in Dayton.
Apparently they were having too much fun building pools for their friends and neighbors, because the Knickerbockers decided to stay in the area and expand their new-found business. The Knickerbockers now own six stores throughout
the Greater-Dayton area and they are looking to open more in the future. From a one truck, garage-based operation, to the Aqua 100 Hall of Fame, the reputable Knickerbocker Pools & Spas has come a long way and is here to
